NEW ORIENT LINER.

ORGNSAY ON HER TRIALS. i J. POLICY OF THE COMPANY. LONDON. Jan. 14. Gales in the Clyde hindered the speed trials of the Orient Company's newest litjer, the Oronsay. When 100 guests attempted to board the vessel near Gurock the tossing tender was unable to make fast. The Oronsay then steamed to a sheltered pos.ition and embarked the party, who were subsequently entertained at lunch. Sir Kenneth Anderson, manager of the Orient Company, said that the triplets, the Orama, the Oronsay, and the Otranto —the last-mentioned of which was building at Barrow—represented the Orient Company's policy of providing the most suitable accommodation for the Australian trade. The abolition of the second-class in all steamers from the New Year enabled them to give the firsts and thirds greater space and comfort without increasing the fares.
