STRANGE CHICAGO FUNERAL.
ARREST OF " UNDERTAKERS."
CHICAGO. Dec. 9. Old John Barleycorn still rides in Chicago hearses.
A prohibition agent, John Early, followed a sad-looking hearse, which was followed by a retinue of strange-looking mourners, but instead of proceeding to the cemetery it parked in a South-side garage.
Aft er the mourners had departed Early raided the hearse, which contained 200 gallons of alcohol and whisky, stored in a silver-plated casket, covered by a wreath.
Early arrested three undertakers while they were romoving " the corpse " from the hearse.
