THE NASH MOTORS COMPANY.

HEALTHIEST OF THE " BIG TEX."

The Nash Motors Company, builders of "the Supreme Six for 1925," celebrated their eighth anniversary hard on the heels of a tremendously successful introduction of two entirely new lines of six-cylinder cars, which are, at tho time of writing, oversold by 7800. This is in spite of the fact that the motor industry as a whole is well below its peak of business, and that Nash has established record production figures.

Though considerably tho youngest of the ten great automobile compatiies credited with building eighty-five per cent, of America's total output, the Nash Motors Company is to-day on a production scale almost half again as large as the entire volume of the industry in 1907. Tho Nash Motors Company's total resources have swelled from 7,000,000 dollars to 42,000.000 dollars. In eight years there have been built moro than 250,000 Nash cars and trucks of an aggregate value of nearly 310,000,000 doljars. In respect to liquid financial conditions, Nash now leads all automobile companies. An analysis shows that the Nash ratio of current assets to total assets is 76.21 per cent., while Ford, the next highest, luys but 64.42 per cent.

At the time the Nash Motors Company made its bow to the world there were about 220 other American companies operating. Many of theso had been in business a number of years, but so swiftly has public preference developed for the Nash product, that, it now ranks ninth among the sixty-seven existing companies. This, in spite of the war and the chaotic period which followed.

Nash production is now being speeded up to obviate any unnecessary delay in delivery. Mr. C. W. Nash having built, the reputation of his car on quality, will still, of course, bo as unrelenting as ever in his watchfulness over It is product, to see that his ideals are maintained. There is every reason to believe that the two huge N'nsh factories will soon ba able to overtake the surplus" of orders. Meantime. New Zealanders' interests have been protected by placing forward orders. Cars can be booked to arrive in December and January, orders being filled in rotation.
