FATAL LANDSLIDE.
ISLAND IN PHILIPPINES. NO EARTHQUAKE RECORDED. (Received 5.5 p.m.) Reuter. MANILA. Dec. 19. The loss of life on Hickdock Island is attributed to a landslide. No earthquake has been registered by local seismographs. An earlier message stated that in an earthquake in the Hickdock, Surig'ao, and Mindanao Islands, of the Philippine group, 24 were killed and 47 injured.
