The Melanesian steamer Southern Cross, en route, from New Hebrides to Auckland, had not been reported yesterday, but she is expected to nrrivo at any time now. After medical inspection tho vessel will berth at tho Princes Wharf. TRELYON LEAVES SAN FRANCISCO. With car£o from Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Auckland. Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle, the Hain Lino steamer Trelyon, under charter to the Union Company, Bailed from San Francisco at 8 p.m. on Saturday. THE R.M.S. MAKURA. Tho Royal Mail steamer Makura is scheduled to leave Vancouver to-day with passengers, mails and cargo for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland and Sydney. The vessel 18 due at this port on January o and at Sydney ou January 10. CORNWALL FROM LIVERPOOL. <r The Federal Line steamer Cornwall was scheduled to leave Liverpool on Saturday with cargo from West, of England ports for discharge at Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She is duo at thi3 port about January 20. THE R.M.S. NIAGARA. The Royal Mail steamer Niagara is scheduled to sail from Sydney to-morrow for Auckland, Suva, Honolulu and Vancouver. The vessel is duo at this port about 0 a.m. on Monday and she is to resume her voyage at 11 a.m. the following day. THE PORT CAMPBELL. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Campbell, which is loading a large quantity of dairy produce, frozen meat and general merchandise at the Queen's Wharf for New York, Boston vj r \ London, is now expected to sail for N>:w York on Friday. ULIMAROA AT SYDNEY. The Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaron arrived at Sydney from Wellington at 5 a.m. yesterday. The vessel is scheduled to leave Sydney on Friday with passengers, mails and cargo for Auckland, where nhe is due on Tuesday.

ARAHURA'S CHRISTMAS RUNNING

The Arahura sailed last night, for Tokomaru Bay, Giaborne and Nnpie; : . She isi due back at Auckland on Sundiy. The Union Company advises that the vv3sel will call at Tokomaru Bay coming North on Saturday, and she is announced to isail from Auckland for Bast Coast ports at :ioon on Tuesday. THE SHEAF MOUNT. The Union Company's chartered steamer Sheaf Mount sailed from San Francisco at 2 p.m. on Saturday for Auckland, where she is due about January 9. The vessel is bringing cargo from Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Auckland, Nai>ier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. FIONA DUE 1 P.M. TO-DAY. The Colonial Sugar Company's steamer Fiona, en route from Mackay, Queensland, to Auckland, has reported by wireless thai she will arrive at 1 p.m. to-day. After met'icnl inspection in the stream the vessel will berth at Chelsea to discharge her cargo of Queensland raw sugar. THE. PORT HUNTER. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Hunter was to leave Dunedin for Bluff on Monday to commence loading for London. The vessel will also load at Timaru, Auckland, Napier, Wellington and Lyttelton. She is to be despatched from the last-mentioned port on January 10 for London, via La? Palmas. CUMBERLAND DUE TO-DAY. The Federal Line steamer Cumberland left Wanganui at 10.2 C p.ra on Monday for Auckland, where she is due this afternoon. The vessel will berth at the Central Wharf to load a large quantity of dairy produce and general cargo for London before she proceeds to Gisborne and Wellington to complete. SPECIAL STEAMEBS FOR KAWAU. The Northern Company advises that in addition to the Kawau, which sails ut 4 p.m. on Friday for Kawau and Algies, tie Waipu will be despatched at 1.15 71.111. on Saturday for those two seaside resorts. This will enable passengers who are unable to leave Auckland on Friday to do so by the larger steamer the following day.

NGAKUTA fIURIVED. The Union Company's Island steamer Ngakuta arrived last night from Rarotonga and anchored in the stream. After medical inspection this morning the vessel will berth at the Prince's Wharf to dischargo her cargo of fruit and other Island produce from Eastern Pacific poits. After discharge the Ngakuta will load for Wellington, and she is to be despatched for that port direct to-morrow. NORTHERN COMPANY'S VESSELS. As The Mount Wharf i 3 still occupied by an overseas steamer, the Matangi will not take cargo for that port to-day. She may probably take Mount cargo on Friday. The Northern Company's steamer Quel is to leave Auckland for Kopu and Turua at 4 p.m. *o-day. She will leave Turua on her return trip at 0 a.m. to-morrow for Auckland, where she will avri 9 at 4.30 p.m. the same day. The auxiliary schooner Tores will leave Auckland for Torehape and Kiiihei'i. at noun on Saturday. MAHENO IX FORT. The Union Company's intercolonial steamer Maheno arrived at 2.20 yesterday, having had fine weather and an uneventful trip from Sydney. After medical inspection the vessel berthed at the wharf at 1 p.m. to disembark 375 passengers rind to unload mails and about 1700 tons of cargo. Included in the latter are transhipments ex the following steamers: —Thalatta, Arendskerk, Luneburg, Mongolia, Holstejn, Goulburn. Hyrnetties, Sierra, Mishina Maru. Jarvis Bay. Karooia, Mn.ckn.rra, Villo de Strasbourg, Ville de Verdun, Ormuz, Ornova. Cooma, Canberra, Riverina, Siantar, Taaman. Owing 1o the holidays the Mahene is scheduled to leave Auckland at 11 a.m. tomorrow for Sydney, where she is due on Monday. On Christmas Eve the ve»sol leaves Sydney for Wellington, where she remains over the New Year's holiday.
