FREEZING WORKS PRICES.
THE GISBORItfE DISTRICT. BUYERS BUSILY OPERATING. [BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN CORRESPONDENT.] GISBOKNE. Tuesday. Buyers of fat .sheep have beer experiencing a busy time during the past few weeks, and the local freezing works have been kept fully employed. An averago price of about per pound has been paid for lamb, although for a few exceptional lines of Southdown lamb buyers 'nave advanced fcheir price £d a pound. There has been a fairly consistent demand for both ewe and wether mutton, the former sellimg at a [pound and the latter at from 7d to 7|g, ac<*ording to weight and quality. Beef has remained steady at 25s per 1001b.
