Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. Dec. 10. The Associated Chambers of Commerce sent a deputation to the PostmasterGeneral, Sir W. M. Thompson, the members of which urged the re-establishmcnfc of penny postage. The Minister said he sympathised with the idea if it could bo proved to be a financial proposition. It was really a matter for the Chancellor cf the Exchequer. Speakers quoted New Zealand's experience in making a surplus as large as the deficit she had anticipated.
