Mrs. Parfitt, aged 34 years, fell dead from heart failure after having performed a gipsy dance at a party. Her husband stated at the inquest that his wife, since the age of 14, had been an inveterate cigarette smoker. She smoked from 70 to 80 cigarettes a day.
