EMPIRE EXHIBITION.
ATTITUDE OF DOMINIONS. ALLEGATION OF BICKERING. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Rec,d. 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 9. It is authoritatively stated that Newfoundland is the only Dominion which has unconditionally agieed to take part in the Empire Exhibition next year. The other Dominions are said to be bickering about the4erms upon which they will take part. Canada was originally enthusiastic,. but it is stated that since she learned that Australia is likely to secure better financial terms, her enthusiasm has evaporated. Lord Stevenson, chairman of the Exhibition Board, is temporarily absent from London. In the meanwhile the financial terms for the participation of the Dominions are awaiting determination.
AUSTRALIAN ZOO SECTION. SCHEME BEING CONSIDERED. LONDON. Dec. 1. The authorities are considering the introduction of a zoological section at the Australian pavilion at the Empire Exhibition in 1925. It is believed that kangaroos, wallabies, opossums, emus, kookaburras and platypuses would be a great attraction.
