ALLEGATION REFUTED.

In connection with a case recently heard in the Arbitration Court at Wellington it was stated that when Mr. Read, secretary of the Wellington Timber Workers' Union, struck at Mr. Turley, the secretary of Hie New Zealand Timber Workers' Federation, the hitter " took cover under the table." Exception has been taken by Mr. Turley to this allegation, Mr. Turley saying he did no more than move his head to avoid a blow. His statement has been substantiated, and in justice to him a correction has been made.
