ITALY AND BRITAIN.
MR. CHAMBERLAIN'S RECEPTION. Reuter. ROME, Dec. 7. Mr. Austen Chamberlain, British Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Sir Ronald W. Graham, Britain's Ambassador to Italy, drove in the drenching rain to the Foreign Office to-day. Mr. Chamberlain had a -cordial inter-view with the Prime Minister of Italy, Signor Mussolini. - Mr. Chamberlain was subsequently re ceived by the King at the Quirinal, after which an official luncheon was given in his honour.

jat the Embassy were present. Mr. C'hamj berlain arid Sir R. Graham sat on the i right of the Queen and King respect Signor Mussolini was seated next, to Lady • Graham. Other guests included the Crown I Prince and the Duchess of Aosta.
