FAULTY INSTALLATIONS.

CANCELLATION OF LICENSES.

APPEAL BOARD QUESTION.

An objection to the Auckland Electric Power Hoard's proposed by-law giving its manager authority to suspend the license of an electrician responsible for defective installation work, was received from the secretary of the Electrical "Workers" Union at the board's meeting yesterday.

The grounds ofj the protest were that no provision had been mado for an appeal board.

The general opinion of members of the board was that an appeal board composed of a magistrate and representatives of both parties would be advisable. It. was resolved ' that confirmation of the by-law be deferred for a fortnight arid that in the meantime the matter be referred to the Legal and Finance Committee for consideration.
