General Sir William Brancker, director of civil aviation, wag expected to arrive here by aeroplane yesterday, but has not yet arrived.
General Brancker left by air for Paris. on November 20, en route to India, where lie will discuss the question of an air line between India and Banna, and the establishment of an airship service benvee.ii Britain and India. General Brancker will be the first to flv from Britain in a civil machine across Turkey to Constantinople, .Angora and Aleppo. He will discuss with the Turkish, authorities the establishment of a permanent airway to India by that route instead of ■*ia Egypt.
