Sellers of Soldiers' Inscribed i Stock reduced their quotations ss, to ! £101 ,ss. War Loans (1938) had sale at £97 12s 6d, more being offered at the same figure, buyers not advancing beyond £97 10s. Buyers of 1938 Inscribed Stock advanced ss, to £97 30s, sellers receding 2s 6d, to £97 12s bd. In batiks late buyers of New Zealands offered 61s 3d, sellers 61s 9d, a drop of 3d on the day. New South Wales remained firm at £41 ss, buyers offering £40 ss. Nationals of New Zealand were in demand at £6 J 13s 6d, with no response from holders. I Australasias again had buyers at £13 [2s 6d, sellers quoting £13 10s. Unions lof Australia were in request at £14, : holders not quoting. In insurances, ! offers for New Zealands stood at 30s, | with no response from sellers. Buyers' offers for South British dropped from 43s 6d on Thursday to 43s 3d; there was no response from sellers. In gas, holders of Aucklands (ordinary) eased 3d during the day to 24s 6d, buyers' offers not advancing beyond 24s 3d; the contributing issue was again quoted by sellers at 5s 9d, buyers 5s 7d. In shipping, Huddart-Parker3 dropped 3d, to 43s 9d, buyers receding a similar amount to 43s 3d. Northerns were again offered at 16s I 9d, buyers 16s 3d. In miscellaneous there j was a sale of Milne and Choyce (debenture stock) at 22s 6d, more being on offer at 23s by late sellers, buyers quoting 22s 3d. New Zealand Milk Pro- j I ducts changed hands at 27s 6d, late sel--1 lers 28s, buyers not quoting. There were | two sales in Wilsons Portland Cement I at 28s 9d, more being sought by late ■ buyers at the same figure, sellers asking ! 295. In mining, there was a transaction in Waihis at 26s 4d, a drop of 2d on the previous day's sale, and 5d on those of Wednesday. More were wanted at 26s by late buyers, sellers asking 26s 6d. Grand Junctions were sought at Is Bd. with 110 response from holders. Demand for Moanataiaris firmed 2d, to 2s, holders receding Id to 2s sd.
