TUNISIAN MOVEMENT. SITUATION DISQUIETING. FRANCE ORDERS AN INQUIRY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Eeceived 10.35 p.m.) Times. LONDON. Not. 27. The Paris correspondent of the Times reports that a disquieting situation has arisen in the French protect rate of, Tunis. It is now admitted, he says, that the Young Tunisian movement is taking definite shape and, with Communist encouragement, is assuming <he character of a nationalist demand for independence. M. Lucien Saint, the French ResidentGeneral in Tunis, has come to Paris specially to discuss the situation. He has had lengthy conferences with the Premier, M. Herriot.
Secrecy is maintained, but it is understood that M. Herriot has ordered an official inquiry into affairs in Tunis.
