SWIMMING FOB GIRLS.

WEEK'S SPECIAL COURSE.

The girls' "Learn to Swim Week" has met with a very ready welcome, and some 500 entries have been received. The week will begin next Monday, lessons being arranged at 5.30 and 6 p>m. A force of teachers has been trained for the occasion, the collective system of teaching being used. Tho system used for tho beginners is that used by the New South Wales Department of Education. The teachers for the improvers' classes have been coached by Mr. D. B. Anderson. The life-saving class is to be taken by Mr. Morris, examiner of the Life Saving Society. The entries have closed and only those who have enrolled will be allowed in the baths.
