MANNERS AT TENNIS.
PLAYERS AND UMPIRES. A. and N.Z. LONDON. Nov. 13 The Tournaments Committee of the I British Lawn Tennis Association and I members of the Referees's Association i held a conference and discussed disciplinary measures against certain players. It j is alleged that a number of players are j in (he habit of questioning the umpire's I decision, and of asking for his with drawal when they disagree with him. Other players, women as well as men, arc lax in keeping time. Some players, it is alleged, use bad language, often ! audible to the spectators, thus exposing I the game to disrepute. The whole question will be brought before the next j general meeting of the Lawn Tennis Association.
