The executive of the Auckland Grammar School Old Boys' Association paid its annual official visit to the school yesterday afternoon. On the arrival the school batallion was paraded under the command of Captain Dellow, and carried out various manoeuvres in view of the visitors. They then marched into the school hall. Mr. A. E. He also congratulated the school on its two latest successes, E. F. Thompson, the senior prefect of the school, having gai od the Sinclair Scholarship, while J. A Dunning, an old boy of the school, had been elected New Zealand Rhodes Scholar for 1924. The headmaster announced that a momber of the executive present, Mr. J. Stanton, who is also a member of the Board of Governors, had suggested that the school should be granted a halfholiday in recognition of this official visit, and he himself would be 'very pleased to arrange it later on, subject to the approval of the Education Department. The scholars gave a vigorous rendering of the chorus, "The Yeomen of England." Mr. Drunimond said he would not move a formal vote of thanks to the executive, but would call upon the senior prefect to do the correct thing.
