OHINEWAI COLLIERIES.

DISCOVERY OF A SEAM.

The directors of the Ohinewai Main Trunk Collieries, Ltd., report that a fine seam of bright hard coal, 17ft. 9in. thick, has berji penetrated in No. 5 bore on the shaft site alongside the Main Trunk railway line. It is stated that tho discovery of this seam will assure continuity of coal from the shaft Bite to the extreme southern end of the field. Boring at No. 5 bore is being continued.
