MORE MELBOURNE CASES.
TWO PEDESTRIANS - ACCOSTED.
Australian and N.Z. ! Cable Association. (Reed. 9.35 P.m.) MELBOURNE. Oct. 17. Cases of -robbery under arms continue to odcur in the suburbs. Mr. Henry Reid was walking home at 10.30 p.m. at St. Kilda when he was stopped by two masked men and ordered to put up his hands. Mr. Reid pushed the first man and ran down a, lane. The second man thereupon fired a shot which missed th*> running man. The miscreants did not pursue him. Another case occurred at Caulfield Mr. William Sleeman was confronted by two men, one of whom fired a shot into the ground. He then robbed his victim.
