ARBITRATION COURT ORDER.
AGE AND NUMBERS FIXED.
The Arbitration Court has issued- an order under the Apprentices Act, in regard to the employment of apprentices, in, the. saddlery trade. '. The' branches of the industry covered by tho. order embrace saddle and, bag making, machining, harness .making and bridle cutting. "
The order, which applies to the Northern industrial district, sets forth that the minimum , age at which:'a- boy may be apprenticed is ,14 years, find the proportion' ot apprentices to journeymen' shall '■>. be one to one of the : total employed in the ; industry, :or one to two by . any : one ' employer. In cases ,where there is only one apprentice who has served two : years or.; more, the employer may ; take an additional apprentice.'
