The vehicles came tor gether, a wheel of the truck being struck and the truck sliding over a bank for a distance of eight or nine feet. All the occupants were thrown into the gorso which fringes the roadside. The growth impeded the descent of the truck, and the children were got out bruised and scratched, but otherwise uninjured, except Guy Bourne, 14 years of age, who suffered a slight fracture of the base of the skull. He was conveyed by the Bishop of Nelson to Dr. Deck, who ordered him into hospital. In reply to an inquiry to-day It was stated that the lad was making progress toward recovery.
