The kiosk and tearooms, " Castleridge," opposito the Point Chevalier Park, have been acquired by Messrs. Castleton and Company, lato of Rotorua. Many improvements, including the laying out of a tennis lawn, have been effected. A concert and lecture under the auspices of tho New Zealand Labour Party will bo held in tho Strand Theatre tomorrow evening. Mr. R, F. Way will speak on " The Slaughter of tho' Innocents." The Butterfly Vaudeville Company, assisted by leading Auckland artists, will appear in their production, " Variety de Luxe." at the Ellerslio Parish Hall, next Monday and Thursday evenings.
