The Now Zealand Meat Producers' Board has received the following cablegram from its London office, dated July 25, advisingSmithfield delivered prices at that date .as follows:—

New Zealand Wethers and Maidens.— Canterbury 'quality, selected brands, 561b. and under, 7|d per lb; 571b to 641b, 7}d; 651b to 721b, 7d; other brands, 561b and under, 71d; 571b to 641b, 7d; 651b to 721b. 6Jd. New Zealand Ewes.—64lb. and under. 5Jd per lb. New Zealand Lamb.—Canterbury quality, 381b and under, lljd per lb; 371b to 421b, lid; 431b to 50lb, 10Jd; seconds, lOJd; selected, 361b and under, lljd; 371b to 421b, lljd; other brands.. Ist quality, 421b and under, lOid; seconds, 10Jd. New Beef.—Not quoted. Argentine.—Chilled beef: Ox fores, 2Jd per-' lb; ox hinds, 6fcd. Frozen beef: Ox fores, 2gd; ox hinds, 4ld. Frozen Pork.-Not quoted. Frozen Veal, —4}d per lb, The mutton trade is better and prices have improved. In lamb there is a. good trade and tho market is very firm.

The New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd.. has reoeivod the following weekend cablegram from its London manager, Mn J. B. Wrgiht:—Butter: Anchor, salted 192 a, unsalted 204 a. The market remains quiet. Other first-grade butters are still selling down to 186s and 188s, but the future position for first-quality butters is very sound. Germany io reported to be buying from. 600 to 700 tone, of Danish butter weekly, and also guantities of Siberian and Baltic States butter, thus relieving the London market. Cheese is selling at: White, 925; coloured, 88»; Canadian, 87s, eJLfc Lower prices are , anticipated. There is no alteration regarding dried milk and casein. TAUMARUNU* SALE. [bx teubgkaph.— own cobbesfondenx.] TAUMABITNTJI, Tuesday. At the fortnightly stock sale 4GOO sheep were penned and a small number of cattle, also a fair assortment of pigs. The sale dragged considerably, and a number of sheep pens were passed without sales being effected. Prices generally showed a decline compared with those realised at recent sales. Sheep.— 25s to 34s 6d; inferior, to 17a 6d; fat ewes, to 255; two-tooth, to 23s 3d; six-tooth, to 15a; four and five year, to 245; hoggets, 23a 3d to 26s 6d; lambs, 15s to 22s 6d; inferior, 6s and upwards. Pigs.—Porkers, 21s to £ss; baconers, to i £2 10s; weaners, to 18a.

WAIKATO- STOCK SALES. The Fairmws' Cooperative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., Hamilton, report as follows on stock sales held in the Waikato during the last, week:—The market continues firm for both prime steer and cow beef, with good yardingst. A lot of unfinished is coming forward; f6r which there is little demand. Therois;little ohange in the price of mutton. extra Strime quality being most in demand. The store- cattle markets show an improvement, especially for 3 and 4 year steers, also for 18-months and good steer calves, but yardings haws been small, consisting mostly of empty cows and yearling heifera, for which there is little inquiry. There is still a keen demand for store sheep, hoggets especially being in keen demand. There ia also a good inquiry for ewes in lamb and weihers. In dairy cattle there, is still a good etemand for good tested herds, also for good lines of springing heifers, Jeraeya being mostly inquired to. Many inferior cattle axe coming on the market, and there ia little demand for this class. The' pig market is very firm for both fats and stores. We have been having small yardings of fata, but storcß axe coming forward in good numbers and finding ready sale at good prices. The sales continue good for heavy draught horsca, good, farm and spring cart sorts, with little inquiry for light horses,. Msmdeno Jackson at their rooms, 9, Commerce Street, at noon to-day. ■ Messrs. Kobt. C. Carr and Son wdl offer for sale by auction at their rooms, SO, Swanson Street, at noon, to-day, under conduct of the registrar of the Supreme, Court, a house and five acres of land in the village of Howick. A bouse of four rooms and 64 acres of land at Swanson will be offered by order of the mortgaejw., A property m Litchfield Str-tet, Parnell, in the estate of the, late.Dr. E. ,D. Mackellar, comprising a' section with a frontage of 204 links and a dwelling, was sold yesterday at auction by liichard Arthur, Limited, far £625. The property is a Church of England lease, with 20 years to run at £16. 10a a year.
