Those eligible for membership are settlers of the Waikato, Waipa, and Raglan counties, who arrived in the district prior to a date to be fixed, and their descendants of over 21 years of agel The objects Of the association are the promotion of social intercourse and fellowship, the gathering of historical data, and anecdotal reminiscences, and the holding of annual reunions. ;•.''
It was decided to hold the first reunion on Monday, August 25.
A committee was set up to make the necessary arrangements, the members being:—-Mrs. Crawford, Messrs. C. J. W. Barton, J. S. Fisher, P. E. Stevens, E. H. O'Meara, H. E. Tristram, H. R. Porter, F. Davis, X Hunter, D. Mclntyre, A. A. J. A. Cochrane, G. Miles, D. Henry, Mayes, and C. T. Bond. Mr. Barton was elected chairman of the committee, and Mr. Stevens secretary.
