REBELLION IN BRAZIL.
■SEVERE FIGHTING NIGHTLY.
HOTELS USED AS HOSPITALS,
A. and N.Z. NEW YORK. July 27. Advices from Sao Paulo, Brazil, which is in the hands o!f the rebels, state that 250,000 civilians are still there, despite occasional bombardments by the Brazilian Federal troops. Evedy night raids cause severe fighting in the suburbs aud city. Fires ao-e frequent, and food is scarce. The leading hotels have been transformed into hospitals. Some of ifoe finest; buildings have been badly damaged by shells. A report circulated at Rio de Janeiro suggests that the rebellion has spread to other cities. The censorship is so tight, however, that ifc is difficult to obtain an irW of the treneral situation.
