MR. JORDAN'S VOTE.
Sir,—The meeting referred to in a letter signed Erroll Bust, in the Hebald of the 25th inst., was attended by Sir. Jordan's political supporters and opponents alike. Most of them, if not all, had heard our member express his views on the Bible in schools and other political questions from the public platform, as well as in personal conversation With some of them, and by letter, as stated at the meeting on Sunday evening. The mover- of the resolution stated he had been a sympathiser with Labour for yfears, but his sympathy had been, alienated by their actions in the question under discussion. The seconder also was a strong supporter of Mr. Jordan at the last election. The meeting was composed of intelligent people, who were quite capable of forming their own opinions on these matters without any assistance from me. Personally, I did not know anything of the meeting till a few hours before it was to take place, or what form it was to take until I was asked to preside at the meeting. Mr. Errol Bust, in his effort to have a tilt at me, has omitted some of the .facts and overstepped the bounds of fair play, which he professes to appreciate so highly. D. A. Mooni:.
