HELENSVILLE TOWN BOARD
MAIN HIGHWAY MATTERS.
The Helensville Town Board met i on Monday evening, Mr. C. West presiding. There were also present Messrs.";"* B. Screaton, J. Lambert, R. Stewart, W. Downer, and W. Coutts. . •."'.•/ Mr. James McLeod appeared before the board and asked for authority to bring hot water through, the Domain grounds to Parakai House, with the intention of erecting an hotel. Ho would guarantee that the board receive, a revem** from the house toward the upkeep of the Domain grounds. 'It was decided to grant the application, !. provided the board's regulations were complied wi€h. A commnnicatioh was received from the No. 1, High-ways Board, asking for full particulars with regard to the mtfin road within the town district, and for information as to the material to be used in its formation. The information is to be supplied. The room used as a temporary school was again criticised, but a motion that the Education Board be written to was not seconded. It was felt the beard should wait .until the department made a move in the matter.
