The Wanaka sailed from Bluff at midnight on Monday for other southern ports, to load for Wellington and Auckland. Harper, recognised £ts a very luxurious vessel, arrived at Sydney recently with 1,800,000 gallons of bulk gasoline, the largest Quantity of , oil ever brought to Sydney in one, Bhip. The H. T. Harper iB a steel, twin-screw vessol of 3803 tons gross, and was built at Oakland, U.S.A., in 1021. The ship has oil engines, and ia of the latest bulk oil, type, bho is built low in the water, and is able to 3tand heavy weather because of h«r rather unusual construction. TIMBER FROM AUSTRALIA. The Kaitoke, with a cargo of timber from Newcastle and Port Stepnens, was expected to leave bhe latter port yesterday for Bluif, Wellington and Auckland. WAIKAWA AT NAPIER. The Onion Co.'s trans-Pacific steamer Waikawa was due at Napier at daybreak yesterday with a cargo from Pacific Coast ports. The vessel will also discharge at Lytteiton, Duuedin and New Plymouth. THE TAIROA. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tairoa was to leave Wellington yesterday for Duuedin and New Plymouth to complete discharge of her cargo from London. Subsequently the vessel will load in the South for tihe United Kingdom. ULIMAROA AT SYDNEY. The Huddart-Paxker steamer Ulimaroa, which sailed from Auckland for Sydney at 2.15 p.m. on Friday, arrived at her destination at 11 a.m. yesterday. She is scheduled to leave Sydney on Saturday for Wellington. THE RUAPEHU. The New 2lealand Shipping Co.'s liner Ruapehu is to leave New Plymouth to-day for Port Chalmers, Timaru, Wanganui and Wellington, to completn loading. The vessel is dua at Wellington on August 1 and is to sail on August 4 for Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Cardiff acd Avonmouth. THE KATOA. The Katoa arrived last night from Newcastle and anchored in the stream. This morning she will berth at the Central Wharf to diacharg* her cargo of coal. After discharge the vessel will return to Newcastle for another cargo for this port.

MAHENO AT WELLINGTON. The Union Company's inter-Colonial Bteamer Maheno arrived at Wellington at 9.30 a.m. yesterday with passengers, mails and oargo from Sydney. The passengers and the letter mail for Auckland will reach here by train this morning.* The vessel is to leave Wellington on her return to Sydney on Friday morning. THE WAIRUNA. The Union Company's trans-Pacific steamer Wairuna was despatched from Auckland at mid-day yesterday for Fanning Island, Honolulu, Vancouver and San Francisco. The vessel will subsequently load at Pacific Coast ports for New Zealand. THE HOLLYWOOD. The Swayne and Hoyte Line steamer Hollywood will complete cargo operations at the Western Wharf about the end of the week, when she will proceed to Wellington, Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle in continuation of her voyage from Pacifio Coast ports. ARAHURA RESUMED. After being laid up at Auckland for six ■weeks undergoing an extensive overhaul the An&hura resumed running in the East Coast passenger service yesterday. From Welling ton the vessel proceeds to Auckland to discharge & part of her cargo and to load at this port for the Islands. THE HUIA AND RIRA. The Nobel Explosive Company's schooner Huia, which is loading explosives at Maraetai, is to leave there to-morrow for Portland. Napier, Wellington, and Dunedin. At the last-mentioned port the vessel, will load a cargo of produce for Auckland. The Nobel Company's ketch Rira left Lyttelton for Dunedin on Monday to load a cargo of produce for this port.
