MOUNTAIN ROAD.
Sir,—lt congratulations are due tc the municipal authorities for the fine wall built up afc the foot of Mountain Boad, near Khyber Pass, it- is much to be roCTetted that it is not higher. It would then do away with tho necessity of piling up stones on the steep slope above, which by rolling down unexeectedly might,, soma day, endanger life, trange to say, the track made on the footpath shows that people, and especially the boys ot the Mount Eden School, make it a habit, of keeping close to the wall where the danger is the greatest. Prevention.
