MORRINSVILLE DAIRY CO.
GOOD QUALITY OF OUTPUT.
' PROSPECTS FOR FUTURE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT-! MORRIXSVILLE. Saturday. The Morrinsville ,Co-operative Dairy Company has held a meeting of suppliers at Kereone, at which Messrs. McCausland (chairman of directors) , Seifert and Tompkins represented the company. Mr. Top ;V ham was in the chair. Mr. Causland stated that economy in manufacture,. administration, and the purchase of requirements had been responsible for pood payments. One of the most important points, had been the manufacture of high-grade butter. The butter had been graded as high as 64 and 94j points. The output also increased from 240 tons to 370 tons of butter for the season, and he had no doubt that the maxi- * mum production of the plant would be reached next season. The company had therefore decided to .enlarge the building so as io instal! extra machinery, with which they would have three churns, cooler, and storeroom. The average advances for the season for first and second , grade cream were is 4.7 d. This price was considered satisfactory, especially when it ; was remembered that the prices nad fallen considerably a short time ago. It was difficult to make. a forecast, but ""the ' prospects for the coming season appeared to be very favourable. Now that the Control Board was in operation it would be the factory which wvuld make the best /. article at the lowest cost that would V, prosper. ■ » A district committee, consisting of Messrs. Norman, Topham, McQueen, Cameron and Boyd, was formed to attend . to the interests of, the company in , the Kereone district.
