VOICES FROM THE DEAD.

CONAN DOYLE'S FAITH.

j LONDON, May 5. ' Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has stated that out of ten of his relatives and friends killed in the war eight have communicated with him through spiritualistic mediums.

Sir Arthur mentioned this at a meeting. Subsequently, at a seance, he said, one of the dead spoke, saying that he had heard Sir Arthur's statement and had come to speak to him. It was added by Sir Arthur that the Red Indian "happy hunting grounds " and the "Elysian Fields "of the Greeks and Romans • were far nearer the truth, concerning the life after death, than the Christian belief. ■' ■ ; ;
