The statements to the effect that Dr. Sun Yat Sen, ex-President of the Chinese Republic, is dead, are emphatically contradicted and ridiculed by Canton officials, who attribute the persistent reports to enemy machinations _ . The truth is said to bo that Sun collapsed under the strain of his Labour Day exertions, and was ordered a complete tost. It is declared that he has now recovered. His German doctor corroborates this statement.
