ANCIENT TOMB IN WALES.

.Whilst digging in a field on Little Pale Farm, on the borders of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, a local archaeologist , discovered an • ancient grave, 2ft. 9in. by lft. Sin. Inside was a pot seven inches high, belonging to the bronze age. There -was also >a,.hammer stone, a large circular pebble with marks of hammering, and an axehead. . . ' . The grave is' formed of four heavy stones, and is said to be practically indestructible. As was the custom in early times, , the pot of food was placed insido the grave near the head.. The size of the grave seems to indicate that the early inhabitants were " dark little people." • Steps have been taken to have the ■ grave preserved as an ancient monument.
