EAST AFRICAN SENSATION. A. and N.Z. ' CAPETOWN, May 13. Advices from Lourenco Marques, East Africa, report that a sensational affair occurred at Ressano Garcia. M. Maia-Loreira, head of the Portuguese, Customs Department, was fatally stabbed by his native cook. He had intervened in a violent quarrel between the cook and his fellow servants. ■->'• M. Loreira was brought to Lourenco Marques, where he died in the hospital. Residents of Ressano Garcia, infuriated by the occurrence, took. the native cook from the gaol, beat him to death, and threw his body into the river.
