LABOUR WOMEN CONFER.
MEETING IN LONDON.
/•'■ A. and N.Z. LONDON, May 13 One thousand women delegates attended the opening of the National Conference of Labour Women. Resolutions urging equal franchise to that of men, and pensions • for widows, were carried. A sub-committee on birth control reported that in view of the conflicting opinions of medical experts it was unable to recommend the Ministry of Health to order information on birth control methods to be given at public clinics.
