HOUSES FOR RAILWAYMEN.
The tender of Mr. E., Woodroope, of To Aroha, reports our own correspondent, has been accepted for the erection of an up-to-date, commodious, ; two-storeyed, ferroconcrete building in Weaker Street for Mr. T. H. Billing. The t new structure will comprise shops on the ground floor, and offices, etc, on the top storey. Adjoining this building, two largo ferroconcrete shops are to be built for Mr. 0. A. Arthur." Messrs. Ritchie \ and Hepburn's tender has been accepted for this work. . Both contracts will commence immediately. '-.""'• •_"'•- '•' "; The erection of five dwellings ; to the order of: the Railway Department, 'at Herrjesvilie, Te Aroha, has bean commenced, and already two of the houses are almost completed. -
