AVERAGE OF ABOUT A PENNY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.} TE A"WAMUTU, Wednesday. The Waipa County Council (met at Ohaupo yesterday. The treasurer, Mr. C. Bowden, presented the estimates for the year. The estimated general expenditure amounted to £10,993 14s 2d, and the estimated receipts, other than rates, totalled .£IB2B 4s. leaving £9165 10s 2d to.be allocated among the ridings. The rates struck average about a penny in the £ on the capital value of just under £6,000,000.
