THEFTS ON A SHIP.
FOUR SUSPECTS DEPORTED. •, CAPETOWN, April 30. The South African Immigration Department will deport to Melbourne four men,, ■who recently left a steamer at Port Elizabeth with through first-class tickets to London and passports ' far a world tour. They arrived at Capetown lark night after visiting Durban and Johannesburg, and a search of their belongings resulted in the finding of a huge quantity of articles suspected to have been stolen. Several complaints have been made by passengers on the steamer by which the men had travelled that article? had been stolen from their cabins.
In the absence of the proof necessary for a criminal prosecution, the authorities decided to deport the men.
