SOUTH AUSTRALIAN SCALE.
The* Minister for Industry in South Australia' has received from'the- Board of Industry, appointed under the. industrial code, its determination filing, the adult living wage in the Adelaide metropolitan area at 13s 8d a day. This represents ;an increase of 7d over the previous declaration. v ; •' . ; The report of the board states that the rate of 13s 8d decided upon represents an endeavour to arrive at a price equivalent in money values, meaning,; .0f../cput>«;, values in commodities used by the average worker with a family in proportion to the expenditure devoted bv- such : mem-• ber to the various items of the family, budget.
