TAKAPUNA MAYORALTY.

TWO CANDIDATES NOMINATED Candidates were nominated on Saturday for the two elections pending for the Takapuna Borough Council —those for the Mayoral chair, rendered vacant by the resignation of Mr. A. M. Gould, and for the seat on the council relinquished by Mr. J. W. Hayden, with a view to his candidature for the Mayoralty. The candidates are:— Mayoralty.—Messrs. J. W. Hayden and Audus Raynes. Council Seat.—Messrs. W. Duncan, G. H. Matthews, and L. L. Speedy. The polls will be taken simultaneously on May 2.
