OBITUARY.

BISHOP KELLY, OF ROSS. Australian, and N.Z. Cabin Association. , (Reed, 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 19. The death is announced of the Bight Rev. Denis Kelly, Roman Catholic Bishop of Ross, who was a member of the Irish Convention in 1917. The lata Right Rev. Denis Kelly had been Bishop of Ross since 1897. He was born at Kilnaneave, County Tipperaiy, on February 29, 1852. He received priests orders in March, 1877, and was appointed curate of Roscrea. Later he became president of the Ennis College. He was a member of the Agricultural Board lor Ireland fiom 1900 to 1921; Royal Commissioner on Poor Laws and the Keliel of Distress, 1906-9; member of the Cabinet Committee on Insn Finance, 1911 and a member of the JNatujnai Education Committee of Inquiry (Ireland) 1913 He had written numerous letters and pamphlets, mostly on educational topics. . .y- ' -
