WAR WIDOWS' PAYMENTS.
MANY. MARRIED AGAIN. Sun LONDON, April 18. Since the armistice, 87,000 war widows, many of them girl brides, have , re-mar-ried, thus relieving the exchequer of a considerable sum in. pensions. Each wa3 granted a re-marriage gratuity of from £55 to £40. There are still 160,000 war widows, many of them young, drawing pensions.
