ARMAMENT REDUCTION.
CONFERENCE OR COMMISSION. FRESH AMERICAN PLAN. A. Mid N.Z. WASHINGTON. April 12. Senator King introduced in the Senate a resolution to empower the President, Mr. Calvin Coolidge, to appoint a commission to co-operate with the League of Nations Commission in drafting a plan for land, naval and air disarmament. The measure is a Democratic substitute for Senator Petter's previously introduced resolution authorising the President to call a new Disarmament Conference.
