GOLF.
TOURNAMENT FIXTURES. AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER Golfers who are coming to the annual championship tournament in Auckland will bo well catered for by clubs in the matter of tournaments. The South Auckland tournament is to be held at Hamilton on August tU and 30 and September 1 and 2. This will be followed by the New Zealand amateur and open championship at Auckland from Septe/nber 5 to September 13, both inclusivo, and then by the Rotorua annual tournament, which is always a very enjoyable fixture, commencing on September 16. All these dates are definitely settled and have been approved by the golf council. AUCKLAND LADIES'- CLUB. The four-ball, best ball medal match, which was to have b'xm played by the members of the Auckland Ladies' Golf Club yesterday, was postponed until next Friday, Entries for the C grade matoh, to be played next Tuesday, close on Friday, MAUNGAJOEKIE CLUB. Tho Titirangi links will be opened for the season on Saturday, when mixed foursomes will be played. Players may choose their partnors and opponents. Members will be tho guests of the president, Mr. G. L. Taylor, and Mrs. Taylor at afternoon tea. In the evening high tea will be served at tho club house, after which there will be music and dancing, to which members may invite their friends.
