ARMED GANG CHASED.

EXCITEMENT IN LONDON. SHOPKEEPER HELD UP. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 11.55 p.ni.) LONDON, April 7. A thrilling chase took place in Westminster on Sunday night. An armed gang attempted to hold up Mr. Fouraker, a newspaper dealer, in Great Smith Street. Mr. Fouraker was sitting in his shop when three men entered and presented a revolver at him. He pretended to submit, and then threw himself upon the man with the revolver and shouted at the top of his voice. The three men fled in differenr "directions, followed by an ever-increasing crowd of people who had been attracted by Mr. Fouraker's shouts. Two of the men escaped, but a man who is believed to be the third fugitive was arrested in the Palace yard outside the House of Commons.
