ONEHUNGA CLUB.
Th» Onehunea. Pi coon Club held another race in the young bird series from Taumarnnui on Saturday, an airline, distance of 137 mile*. The following are/the result®:— MoPike's boh Stormy Heather, 678 yds per minute. 1; Ls®ff'B b h Nora Creinß) Bs9yds, 2; Cunningham's boh Turkish. Delight, 563 yds, 3; Prentice's too Sky Wave, 509 yds, 4; Harland'e bßc Deluge, 504 yds, 5. Owing to the heavy rains very few birds homed on the day.
AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Racing Pigeon Club held a race from Taurnarunui on Saturday. lne birds, were liberated by the stationmaater. in very heavy weather. Th 9 birds were all in excellent condition, and this stood thaw in good stead, 'as the going was very hard all the way. Use following are. the results: —Knor' and Swan's r o c Sea Foam, 769 yds per minute, 1; J. Slater bC h Eoyston Toody, 768 yds. ft; E. Euesden s roc Bed Lion 11.. 766 yds, 3; N. Waddell s rco Fit* Roy 11., 711 yds, i- A. Ryan b b c The. Tramp, 711 yds, 5: Messrs. Skinner and Cammick's r c h Red Cent;. 710 yds, 6. Seventy-five birds, representing ten lofts, competed. ELLERSLIE CLUB. The Ellerslie Pigeon Club flew a race, from Taurnarunui in pouring rain, and after flying five hours the winner was D. Wallace's b b h Prize Pearl, with a fast velocity for the day of 804 yards per minute. The - following are the results: D. Wallace's b b h Prize Pearl. 804 yds per minute. 1; G. Borres' b si» Maori Maiden, 789 yds, 2: 0-. R. Wilkinson's b p h Royal Betty, 728 yds, 8. Chapman Eios.. 724 yd *: Hunter Bros.. 674 yds. These were the only lofts to clock in out of II lofts &&d 60 birds which oompeted.
