AUCKLAND FISH SUPPLY.

GOOD VARIETY TO HAND.

The trawler Kahu, of Sanford's, fleet, returned to the harbour yesterday from the West Coast, where long-line handhauling had been carried out during the past week. The experiment proved very successful, a good catch of hapuka being obtained. ' The supply was landed at Auckland in good condition. Despitv the unfavourable weather • prevailing off the East Coast, trawling operations in that quarter have also been very successful, uniformly good hauls being obtained. The trawler Serfib, of Munro Brothers' fleets reached the harbour early on Monday morning from the gulf, with a fine catch. The Ahuriri, of the samp fleet, has been trawling very successfully since her arrival in Auckland waters a few months ago. The supply of fish in Auckland at present is very good, the variety I being said to be quite up to the standard.
