RESULTS at whangarei. I.BT TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] "WHANGAREI. Monday. The Whangarei Sheep Dog Trials were held on Friday and Saturday. Despite the weather the work was good. Mr. P. G. L. McKenzie commented very favourably upon it, the huntaway in particular. The results were as follows: — . Long Head (maximum pomts, 50). —C. H. Fir Jay son's Toff, 41pts., 1; T. Cotworthy's Don 39pts., 2; G. H. Milne's Scye, 3. Thirty-two dogs competed. Short Head and Yarding (maximum points 60.) —J. H. Thompson's Beauty, 49pts,, 1; C. Jones' Spec, 48pts., 2; T. Cot/worthy's Lassie, 3. The competitors numbered 28. Driving and Yarding Competition (maximum points, 48).— H. Milne's Tweed, 43pts., 1; J. H. Thompson's Beauty, 38pts., 2; H. B. Sloane's Don, 37pts., 3. There were 26 competitors. A special event of driving and yarding for boys under 18 years was won by Ellis Finlayson's Tony. Huntaway (maximum points, 45). —C. Steedman's Bob, 42pte., 1; 0. H. Finlayson's York, 40pts., 2; C. H. Jones Bros.' 39pts, 3. There were five competitors. Special prizes were awarded as follows — Chaso Cup.-, for points in long head.— C. H. Finlayson's Toff. Evans Cup, for short head and yarding.—J. H. Thompson's Beauty. Rose Bowl, for driving and yarding.— G. H. Milne's Tweed. Huntaway.—S. Steedman's Bob. Champion Dog, at meeting.— G. H. Milne's Skye. Prize for best all-round dog at the show. —Mr. C. Steedman's Bob.
