STATE COLLIERY DISPUTE.

PROPS OR TIMBER SETS. [BY TEI/EGEAPH. —PBES3 ASSOCIATION.] GKETMOUTH. Monday. A dispute has occurred at the State coalmine relative to the question whether the management is justified in ordering a pair of miners to use props instead of timber sets to support the roof in a certain place. It is understood that the management ordered props to save expense, but the union contends that safety calls for sets. The union decided this evening to hold a stop-worH meeting next Thursday unless the despute is settled in the meantime. The inspector will visit the mine on Wednesday.
